Only $59 million remains in the MTA’s coffers for a high-tech program that would have installed motion-sensor cameras and other equipment throughout the system – but it’s not enough, State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli said Monday.
The MTA’s security enhancements are a very sad joke. The system itself is so flawed that a 5 year old could hack it. I’m not going to really get into the details but I do want to make a point of stating this: The huge amounts of money that were thrown at ‘securing’ the NYC subway system was a huge waste of taxpayer money.
Every other dollar this city spends is a waste of tax money! Most of the subway security money probably went to all the overtime paid to the DIRTY PIGS for arresting people in the trains from BS pot charges to having your feet on the empty seat next to you!!!
