The Schaefer Site

The Schaefer Site is located along an NYC river in a part of town that is now super trendy and thus coming more boring by the minute. This location is being developed as a set of high rise apartment buildings by the City's Housing Preservation Dept. It retains it's name from the old beer brewery which was once located on this parcel of land. The brewery was a long abandoned shithole that came down in the late 1990s, and is the setting for a short story (Elizabeth of Factories) in Julia Solis's "Scrub Station" - a book of short stories that is a fun dark read.

Other than that, this place is a boring construction site that will soon be filled with yuppie scum paying too much rent for a view of the city that we all consistently take for free whenever we so choose. Hell, we parked the fucking truck in the driveway when we explored this place. Why? Security? Please. You can't see me...
