Don't think that we're all just about rocking places ourselves - we're all about making sure all New Yorkers have the right to do so also. And one of the places that everyone and their grandmother seems to want to go is that old abandoned rail line on the West Side. Heck, there were hundreds of people that actually volunteered to clean the thing up just to get a glimpse of it's rusty, weed-strewn old tracks. Why, we have no idea. But hey, who are we to judge what Joe Public does and doesn't want to see? So during last weekend's Open House New York, our political affiliate the Committee for a Free New York (you know - like how the IRA has Sinn Fein) decided to show Joe how it's done. Don't get us wrong, we're all for the Highbrow stuff also. Celebrities raising money, high-end society folks arrainging viewing points one weekend a year, we've got nothing against that. But you also need someone to go Guerilla-style on occasion. You've got to let Joe Public know that they don't have to see what they want to see and go where they want to go on these people's time, following these people's rules. And for the enemy - you should just be happy we put up some nice signs with our website. Some of us wanted to paint "It's nothing new, Mike Bloomberg's thru, CFNY 182."
