This warehouse was once apparently a cold food storage for
the New York Central RR. It included several massive freight elevators and
5 tracks that ran through the ground floor. My personal best guess is that
this building was abandoned sometime around the start up of Conrail in 1976.
Signs of a former homeless population were everywhere inside. These mattresses
and what not were old though, suggesting the building was sealed up long ago
and only now is being pulled down, probably to make more parking spots for
nearby Yankee Stadium.
