Phase 2, Building 1. --- October 2003
Building One was an imposing, ugly structure. Old in age, weak in structure, this building is the first victim to fall in what we will only refer to here as "Phase 2". The building was composed of one main factory space, 2 floors plus basement, with additional storage and garage spaces surrounding the main structure. Should it come as any surprise that we found a large variety of ancient relics enclosed in this pre war rathole?

Today, barely a month after this mission was completed, there is no trace of this building or it's out structures. And this is only the beginning....

Building Number One (B1) presents with this mysterious covered facade. It is just days from being bulldozed.

A little surprise in the basement. Without an elevator or decent sized steps up to the first floor, it must have been a pain in the ass to get this down here. No wonder it's been forgotten...

Rasta Piss like Race Horse.

Strange chambered structure within a large garage in the back.

Side view of B1, easy access.

Looks like someone is a little late filing their taxes.

Roaming the halls, looking for scooby snacks... well, at least that's my excuse...

Patio was an orange soda marketed by Pepsi from the 60's up until around 1976. This is somewhat is ironic as we will see in later exploits of this series. Note the architecture here: the wooden first floor is merely stacked onto these piers of brick without being bolted down. It's mere weight is all that holds it in place.Needless to say, we didn't find this ratty old structure safe for combing through beyond the basement and first floor (despire the up to date sprinkler systems - which is that red pipe...) .

Let's take a look at that bike one more time... relic that it is, it likely became part of the trash pile when the B1 was bulldozed, during the end of October / beginning of November, 2003.
