Smith Infirmary Damaged in Hurricane Irene

It seems the old Smith Infirmary lost a large chunk of it’s roof as a direct aftermath of Hurricane Irene. At least that’s what’s being said online.

Here’s a photo from above in 2008 – as you can see the roof was still very much intact. Post Irene, the roof was severely damaged. With significant roof damage, the overall decay of this building will increase at a faster rate.
