That NYC Shit

Trans-mutational Covid Animal Behavior
Deer are taking over some towns in England. Just part of the trend of animals taking back urban spaces while humans stay in their cages. Meanwhile, Monkeys in Indonesia who have been cut off from their lucrative food-from-tourists contract, decided to take out their rage by trashing a government office.

Now scientists are curious to study animal behavior in urban settings. Just like with the virus, maybe that’ll prove to be too little too late?

None of this has anything to do with this music video filmed on the former BEDT site in Brooklyn, but I enjoy making random references for absolutely no fucking reason at all. We’re all animals in the wild when you think about it.

ASS: Assorted Subway Shenanigans
The MTA claims that it is going to cost them half a billion dollars to cover all the disinfecting they’ve been doing within the NYC subway system. And seriously, I have to ask, if they are actually cleaning that much, why are the trains still covered in litter and filth? Wasn’t Cuomo supposed to be giving them loads of free disinfectant?

Look, I know we’ve got a lot of homeless people in NYC. Some of them belong in mental health facilities, others in assisted housing, and still others in livable safe shelters where they can get back on their feet. The subway system provides absolutely none of those things. It’s a fucking subway. It’s purpose is to get people from point A to point B in a clean environment. Using it as a shelter, which is what DeBlasio and Cuomo have literally done, helps no one. All this dirt and grime is exactly the opposite of cleaning and disinfecting the system so the virus doesn’t run rampant again. NYC can’t reopen until our subways are clean. Sorry/Not Sorry. #WakeTheFuckUpDeBlasi-Cuomo

A 20-something was found dead just inside the 60th street N/R/W tubes. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem anyone asked just how this person got on the tracks unnoticed, at a location where there is an NYPD booth just a few feet away.

The Guardian (UK Newspaper) throws a good punch at US transit agencies, where over 100 workers have died from the Rona. Too bad every US media outlet isn’t doing the same.

Cuomo neglects Mental Hospital patients
There are a lot of people who really love Andrew Cuomo these days, but he’s beyond not perfect. He didn’t shut New York State down soon enough. His MTA didn’t give it’s workers PPE, and the state’s mental health facilities just kept on chugging along as if nothing was happening. Now Prince Cuomo apparently wants to slash TEN BILLION from the state budget, cutting deep into education and health care. Raising taxes on the wealthy? DINO Cuomo would never do that.

Shorties:
The mills of Zug Island (outside Detroit) are closing down.

Speaking of closed industrial properties, Philadelphia residents were warned to expect some interesting SMELLS while the Philadelphia Energy Solutions Refinery gets cleaned up. I’m not sure why they bothered warning anyone though, because this place REEKS!

One community out west created themselves a library. The developer next door fucked it up. Gotta love capitalism.

Tampa pulled a huge ass Fatberg out of their sewage treatment plant.

This article has some photos of pretty Covid-19 related graffiti. Meanwhile, here in NYC – real graffiti writers have been running while tagging up MTA stations, and going hard on deserted streets.

Now competing with the UK in the secret tunnel game is this hotel in Alabama.

LOL Texas cops found an illegal game room in an abandoned church and now they’re not wondering what any of this has to do with the church of the sub genius. Don’t get the face confused with the dots people!

Bando BBQ
Squatters set a ‘bando next to a historic cali’ church on fire and OMG the media outlets made it sound like some huge building burned up… meanwhile it was a one floor derpy little building.

Setting an abandoned mini-golf joint on fire wouldn’t be my first use idea for such an obscure location, but hey, Texas. Fire also ate up a graffiti covered ‘bando warehouse in Columbus Ohio. I once spent a night in Columbus, but I didn’t get all Magellan in that shit.

Two big buildings next to a rail yard just south of Pittsburgh bought the burn this last week.

International Update
So you want a list of Canadian bandos eh?

The French have deserted some island previously used for Quarantine.

AND THAT’S A WRAP
LOL Cuomo canceling the New York State primary really shows that motherfuckers stripes right now. Voting by mail isn’t rocket science, and the postal service has existed since 1775. Fuck that guy and his garbage handicap-inaccessible slide shows.

I absolutely love when y'all share personal stories of friends relatives etc who worked in these places. It really helps capture what these places were like before they closed up shop.

If you're feeling salty, argumentative comments completely devoid of facts (supply links to support your argument) will not be published. Got a case to state? come with the details.
