What’s The Goss?!
I’ve heard on good authority something that you all already know: Unless you shoot rape or stab someone, your chances of being arrested by NYC cops are now lower than they have been in the last twenty years. Cops want the city to look out of control as part of their copaganda agenda. Wild out my friends. We got that blizzard that might pull up so make use of the snow blobs and GET IT.
Subway Madness
The New York Post is reporting on another whole train done over the weekend in Brooklyn. This one doesn’t look all that stylish if you ask me. I rather see one super detailed awesome panel on a clean train that all these big blobby whole trains.
Also Obvi the post metro section crew are a bunch of derp. Y’all who saw the EMT shaming know what I’m talking about. They also don’t seem to have reached out to any writers to talk about the ongoing subway bombing situation, which is some seriously weak journalism. Maybe that metro desk needs to stop looking at Onlyfans pages and get to work?
Shorty’s Short Shorts
An old abandoned Holiday Inn just south of DC was imploded Sunday morning. I wonder how many pee tapes were recorded there?
Some dude became obsessed with saving the steeple of an abandoned Tennessee church and it’s happening. I love people with oddball obsessions. This guy is a hero to anyone who loves fixating on random shit.
If you’re looking to buy up ‘bandos in Chicago, it’s looking like the city might change or maybe end it’s “scavenger sale” program, which doesn’t seem to work due to the homes being in depleted neighborhoods high in crime and high in taxes.
What future will most large cities face in 2021 and beyond? This article is interesting but also a little trite.
Bando BBQ
This has been a long week of bando fires. Bandos have burned in:
Columbia, SC
Badalona (Spain) Killing 3 squatters, injuring 23 more.
Kingston (Canada)
Lamont, CO (old sugar factory)
Durham (NC)
Birmingham, AL – this last one is particularly grotesque: firefighters responding to a ‘bando fire instead found a decapitated corpse had been set ablaze. Cops claim both the victim and perp were ‘transients’.
The fire in Spain though is really the story we’re going to see over and over again in the next two months: unhoused people trying to stay warm in abandoned buildings and dying when their makeshift fires spread.
International Update
Canberra (Australia) has created their own version of 5 pointz – where graffiti artists have taken over the walls of a ‘bando and turned them into something awesome.
Take this trip down the Toronto sewers. I haven’t read it all yet but it looks like a fun one.
File under Ew: New Zealand has crushed Covid but fatbergs? STILL A PROBLEM.
Also in New Zealand: some abandoned WW2 military tunnels are going to be opened soon.
Iran is moving their nuclear facilities underground and honestly who the fuck can blame them.
Efforts are being made to save a huge old wooden abandoned casino/orphanage in Istanbul. Shit looks like the Bennett school of Europe.
Faroe Island’s underwater jellyfish traffic circle is the thing you didn’t know existed but should definitely take a look at.
And that’s a Wrap:
I’ve almost completely sold out of “Exploring 5 Pointz” books, and won’t have them back in stock until January. Don’t sleep on ordering though—because that next shipment could easily sell out and it might take even longer to get your copy.
Every order will have at least one signed copy, BTW, and whatever other stickers and goodies I can throw in. If it really goes well I’ll find another charity to donate some of the cash to. This isn’t all about money for me.
Going forward I’m looking forward to slowly rolling out more exploring merch and maybe books next year The brand is slow but growth is on the horizon.
