Manholes were blowing up all over NYC late last week—the usual result of road salt mixing with electric conduits. It doesn’t seem that any neighborhoods were blacked out as a result, but that’s probably more about luck than actual grid resiliency. I was surprised to find no news story on this, considering how lit up Citizen App was, showing multiple manhole fires in each borough.

Trump Plaza was finally imploded, now if only someone would do the same for Mar-e-Berghof.
As expected, Michigan has also filed charges against Isaac “Driftershoots” Wright, compounding his legal problems. As I previously stated, he may end up serving time in two states and be saddled with thousands of dollars in pointless fines.

There’s an incredibly suspect story out of the Bronx, where cops claim they went to stop a graffiti artist they spotted in the act, only for that tagger to pull a gun and try to fire at them. The perp ended up shot multiple times.
There are a few problems with this story: the perp was allegedly living on the streets a few days. If that was the case, it seems odd he’d prioritize tagging up. Same goes with owning a gun: you’d sell that shit quick for food, or use it to do a lotta robberies and feed yourself. Either way it’s very uncommon for anyone tagging up to carry a gun. When you tagging you’re climbing fences, stretching up to high spots, running track or whatever. It’s a low key athletic past time. A gun is just a clunky thing that gets in the way and might go off if you drop it… so yeah, no. I’m having serious doubts about the validity of this copaganda piece.
Shorty’s Short Shorts

A shitty ole’ Bridge in Pittsburgh was imploded last week, along with Trump’s former hotel in Atlantic City and yeah they’re kinda on par with one another as being worthless.
A man was found in a Shreveport Bando sitting upright, frozen in the 1 degree overnight weather. Creeeeepy.
Mayors from Miami and Fort Lauderdale are traveling out west to check out Tesla tunnels because Florida is the Hold My Beer state and if someone else is doing something stupid, Florida wants to do it even stupider.
This story is real dark: some shithead owners of a building complex in Flint, MI abandoned the place with residents still living inside. The inevitable happened, with pipes bursting and the buildings becoming iced over. Now the city gov. is forcing them to vacate. Remind me again how Capitalism is a wonderful system and for whom it benefits?

Bando BBQ—Fire and Ice Edition
Oh yeah Fresno is on fire again and this time it’s an abandoned horder house. Elsewhere in Cali, an abandoned laundromat was set on fire by squatters.
A crappy bando in Portland and six (! – and counting!) in Chicago collapsed under the weight of this winter’s never ending freezing dread and despair and it’s a metaphor for how everything has collapsed seasonal depression oh hello? Hi. Is this thing on?
Some large ‘bando building in Nashville burned up and I ain’t got time to google that address.
A ‘suspicious’ fire took out an abandoned office building in Texas and there’s nothing suspicious about homeless people trying to stay warm, especially when compared to how shithead senator Ted Cruz decided to stay warm this last week.
Speaking of squatter fires, a man was briefly detained after his ‘bando squat caught fire in NOLA over the weekend.
International Update
The “Boris Burrow” – a tunnel linking the UK and Northern Island, might be approved soon, though I’ve got some big doubts it’ll ever be completed. One elected official mocked this notion, claiming The trains could be pulled by an inexhaustible herd of unicorns overseen by stern, officious dodos”. Sounds about right. Maybe it’ll turn out just like these underground cesspool rivers in London, or it’ll somehow end up stuffed with a monster Fatberg—which seems to be the UK’s primary manufactured item these days 🙂
Speaking of London, another HS2 DIY digger has emerged from the Euston protest tunnel after spending 19 days underground. As of Friday there were still five people known to be living in the tunnel network, as bailiffs continue to try to evict the last few holdouts in the most haphazard ways imaginable.
India is still recovering bodies from a hydroelectric plant tunnel after a disastrous flood took out an entire valley.
“A gang of illegal diggers in Urmia, Iran, who were trying to loot from a synagogue were arrested, Iran International TV reported.” LOOTERS GUNNA LOOT!
Seriously old tunnels were recently found under Ducal Castle in Szczecin, Poland. While some of it was refinished and fortified by Nazis, very old brick lined tunnels were found just beyond.

Yo the internet is wild. I still can’t get over how some brain-worm infested Q-Anon fans have found this thirteen year old joke page and are claiming it’s proof of Hilary Clinton eating babies (or whatever stupid nonsense Q followers are into now). It keeps generating comments from randos. Never in a million years did I think grown ass adults would ever take that page seriously. It reminds me the Netflix documentary on the Hotel Cecil—specifically the part where the black metal singer gets cyberbully off the internet by insane, misguided idiots. You can’t reason with people this insane. They’re going to believe whatever they want.
Some of y’all have given me heat for dismissing anyone and everyone who is a Trump supporter—this fiasco is exactly why. Y’all are associating with some of the most brain damaged idiots on the planet.
