‘Bando News and Messy Views
Ok so we skipped another newsletter week. I was a bit more focused on posting some ole’ 9/11 stuff to Insta and Twitter.

So, yeah, apparently hippopotami is not a valid measurement for fatbergs. In other news, Australians are apparently really bored right now send help.

Speaking of all things sewers, Cork is apparently Corked up on the fatbergs filled with false teeth. There’s a horror movie to made from this I’m sure. Where’s my dude Eben at?

NPR has a good story on how multiple cities have had their subways flooded from storms in recent years, and how we’re all just going to need SCUBA masks to ride the subway now. After all, is it even possible to flood-proof the subways?

The Boston Globe has an article about UrBeXORz wow so trendy much wow.

Remember the 7 train to NJ plan?

Tacoma could have done something better with this school than letting it become an abandoned shithole but hey I like abandoned shitholes. Break out the ass sanitizer and get in there.

LOL when your drone won’t fly because it thinks you’re at an airport that hasn’t existed in decades.

They blew up that abandoned hotel at Atlanta’s airport. Unfortunately they left the rest of the airport standing.

The MTA opened a new pedestrian tunnel connecting the Times Square station complex to the 6th ave. BDFM station. Now if they would open the passages on 6th ave from 42nd to 34th streets, that would make for quite the legal underground walking space…

An ancient tunnel was found in Delhi, connecting their assembly building to something called the Red Fort. I want to build a red fort now. A building for communist to plot our takeover of the US from.

More than 200 skeletons have be discovered in catacombs under Delft (Netherlands).

This ‘hijacked’ abandoned apartment building in South Africa is also the stuff of nightmares.

Palestinians broke out of an Israeli jail via a tunnel. You know, because who doesn’t have a tunnel under their jail just begging for this sort of thing?

Hey who doesn’t want to fly an airplane through a tunnel...

I really want to go urbex in Afghanistan. This is a serious, true, valid statement of fact.

That New Tunnel Smell
Washington DC is considering building some new subway tunnels and if it happens I need to be there.

Sydney’s new harbor tunnel project might be dead before it even began.

While we’re here, the story of hundreds of dead african-americans due to silica dust exposure while constructing the Hawk’s Nest tunnel in WV is worth remembering.

Funding for a new Northeast Corridor tunnel in Maryland is apparently set and ready to roll.

They’re still protesting that proposed new tunnel in London, and who can blame them?

Wrap Up
Got some lovely orange haze sunsets going lately. Soon it’ll just be orange all day every day. I’m gunna tell my kids all those old movies and photos and stuff with clear daylight, unflitered from wildfire smoke, is all just photoshoped.

NOTE: It sometimes takes a short while for comments to be approved - unfortunately there's a lot of spam comments that come in. I absolutely love when y'all share personal stories of friends relatives etc who worked in these places. It really helps capture what these places were like before they closed up shop.

If you're feeling salty, argumentative comments completely devoid of facts (supply links to support your argument) will not be published. Got a case to state? come with the details.
