We’ve allowed the corporations and financiers to corrupt our government for ages now. The truth only surfaces 15 to 20 years after events, because those central to the controversy are then dead. For how many years have we danced with “lesser of two evils” and look how its manifested. Poverty and serfdom for most, not just marginalized people of color. Not everyone works in the bloody tech industry or pockets impervious to economic flux.
The C.I.A. created the term “conspiracy theory” for damn good reason. They knew the mental and emotional ramifications and the psychological depths people go to belong. You speak of labels such as Communist and the fear of being labeled as such. That fear is deep and wide, legitimately so. Look what happened to Marine Colonel Sabow (as conservative as a person can be), who was going to expose a set of oligarchy & corruption that had the C.I.A. importing drugs into poor neighborhoods, (particularly Los Angeles area).
We cannot afford to continue to pretend along with the oligarchy and their hench people, like Trump, Killary, the Bush family and too many more. Now it’s okay to discuss how the Bush family (now dead), aided the Third Reich in a major way. Or Dow Chemicals, Coca Cola and even MGM in Hollywood. It’s ALL significant because they’ve made sure to fuck with our attention spans and how we’ve become relentlessly distracted and overwhelmed.

In many tests that the former Nazi doctors & scientists performed on unwitting participants, they worked traumatizing people.
They learned that if you keep people at a steady stream of trauma, they’re rendered useless and too overwhelmed to utilize critical thinking skills, too exhausted and frightened to fight back.
General Douglas MacArthur may have been a lot of thing (we all have layers, no?), but he was spot on when he said: “Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear — kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor — with the cry of grave national emergency… Always there has been some terrible evil to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it by furnishing the exorbitant sums demanded. The corporations or consolidated wealth started rigging shit way back in 1919 (referring now to Woodrow Wilson and his comment) “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. Yes, dead, buried and gone but we refuse to listen or give any credit to legitimate warnings because those who are actually pulling the strings and in power are NOT our so-called leaders.
We talk, tweet and joke but we don’t unite or wake up. It only becomes more brutal for the working class and poor and people are too divided and overwhelmed to pay attention.
The litmus test? Terrorized children in cages, (some abused horribly, some raped). They’re still in cages, by the way. Some taken to Betsy DeVos’s adoption agency in Michigan & who knows where else. We didn’t revolt & save innocent lives, we acquiesced. We continue to please the Oligarchy and lose any semblance of humanity.
