South Front Street Bridge, Elizabeth, NJ

·

, ,

Since 2011, this Elizabeth, NJ drawbridge has been stuck in the open position – a shining example of government ineptitude out crumbling infrastructure.

As any fan of this site already knows, we love digging into well researched articles about the places cataloged here – but in this case, I’m going to refer you to our friends over at Bridges NYC for the full history on this structure. They posted their article about this bridge in 2011. Here we are nearing the end of 2015, and not much has changed.

That said, here’s how the bridge currently looks, as of August 2015.
