Governments here in the United States get it wrong, like all the time. In the NYC area, we’ve had bridges left abandoned for decades, former police stations crumbling into dust, vehicles dumped in residential parking lots, an entire airport left to the wild, and a Fish Market left for literal murderous squatters to take over.
The vast majority of these examples occurred under both republican and democratic ‘leadership’. When it comes to waste and bad decisions (or a lack of decisions), no one does it better than The Government.
