Sometimes even a dinky construction site can yield great views.

“The Factory House” is a rather poorly branded residential building currently under construction in Queens. It is not to be confused with “The factory” former Macy’s warehouse located closer to Sunnyside (and originally built as part of the original Degnon Terminal).

I say it is ‘badly branded’ because the location was never much of a factory site. The building itself is entirely new, and the building it replaced was most recently used as a taxi repair garage.

That said, it still has some stunning views, and who knows, maybe the finished product will be decorated to tribute the neighborhoods industrial heritage.

NOTE: It sometimes takes a short while for comments to be approved - unfortunately there's a lot of spam comments that come in. I absolutely love when y'all share personal stories of friends relatives etc who worked in these places. It really helps capture what these places were like before they closed up shop.

If you're feeling salty, argumentative comments completely devoid of facts (supply links to support your argument) will not be published. Got a case to state? come with the details.
