Repent!
The truth is written on the tunnel walls.

File Under HOLY SHIT!
Y’all seen the video of that dude getting toasted by an exploding underground transformer? These incidents are increasingly more common. Thanks ConEd.

Turns out those floods in Zhengzhou killed 69 people—with another body found in the subway tunnel a few days later. Apparently the whole country is plotting to shut down tunnels when needed, which frankly they should have been thinking about all along. Ridiculously enough, the neo-lib garbage media outlets here in the US have taken focused more on how the communist Chinese government is attempting to control information than the actual problem: CLIMATE CHANGE. Why TF these idiots always trying to change the subject.

Speaking of Infrastructure, QueensLink got some good press in the Daily News about the old Rockaway Beach Branch. Long story short: the MTA keeps sandbagging the project (largely because of Cuomo being an anti-rail zealot), and the estimated cost could be far lower to convert the route into a subway line. We stated this fact YEARS ago, and also pointed out that reconnecting the tracks to the LIRR would be even less expensive. There’s really zero excuses for this project being blocked, except for Cuomo being a modern day car-nut Robert Moses.

‘Bando News and Messy Views
An abandoned scrap metal facility in Hartford (CT) has ended up in city government hands, due to lack of tax payments. The city is already plotting how to redevelop this long abandoned, hot mess of a property.

This British art installation that uses abandoned structures is rated ‘cool as fuck’ in my book.

PEEEEEEE-ORIA is hoping to get some of them sweet Biden Bucks to… tear down an abandoned school? Hey I know why not just take that money stuff it up a billionaires ass and set it on fire?

“Urban explorer shares eerie images inside abandoned 145-year old Glasgow swimming pool“. Too bad they didn’t use SCUBA gear. Scuba scuba scuba scuba. Just say it, like 50 times in a row. Scuba.

Two abandoned dorm towers in Nashville were be imploded last weekend in Nashville. Bummer. Also: “The towers used to have a tunnel underneath that allowed students to easily travel between the east and west towers. The tunnels were closed after the demolition of the west towers in 2019.”

But wait there’s more—and this isn’t good news at all. a former coal fired power plant in Nashville was also imploded last weekend. Coal fired fuel is garbage fuel, but to see another one of these dormant plants go is super sad.

You can now legally hike the 2.5 mile long Snoqualmie tunnel, which is pretty awesome.

An abandoned building in Saginaw, MI had a partial collapse, while a whole ass other ‘bando in the same town burned up.

Well gee-oll-y Bobby-Sue maybe them there flush-able wipes ain’t so flush-able better get more at Walmart! I know my rights! Jesus said Thou Must Have a Clean Ass!

(For the record, we agree, pick up some ass sanitizer today).

That New Tunnel Smell
Noooooo! That new tunnel that was supposed to be built at Stonehenge? NOPE.

CHINA has a new tunnel at a nuclear test site and is this what spies do all day? Stare at satellites, like deeply funded NextDoor shit talkers?

El Chapo’s tunnel architect has been sentenced to jail and this is, you guessed it, another miscarriage of justice. This dude built real tunnels—revenue generating tunnels—on a low budget. I hope we see a future where socialists take over and let this man out of jail to join a super hero planet saving force.

“Charlotte plans to spend billions of dollars over the next two decades building new rail lines, a better bus system, greenways and roads. But in an age of self-driving cars, drones, hydrogen train and cheap, futuristic tunnels, is the city building tomorrow’s transportation system with yesterday’s technology?”
— this is a serious question that most cities need to start considering. Elon Trump Musk’s tunnels are obviously stupid, but in a world of increased remote work, where coastal cities are soon to be under water, what is the right move?

And that’s a wrap…
At least 3-5 times per week I find stories about ‘bandos that I can’t link to, because they are hidden behind paywalls. It’s… complicated. I get it but also hate it.
