44th drive in LIC during the “curfew”. Cops drove by and ain’t say shit. I knew that shit was lies. 30 yr expired T Max 3200 film

What’s The Goss?!
You’ve heard all about the upcoming implosion of Trump’s old Casino, but now there’s an effort being made get Stormy Daniels the right to push the button. Lord knows she’s good at pushing buttons.

We talk all about abandoned buildings here all damn day but what about those abandoned bodies? Corpses of the unknown and the too-poor-to-afford-a-burial are still being refrigerated down in Sunset Park, and we’ve got this second wave coming on… Nevermind medicare for all, how about burials for all?

Christmas came and went and if you didn’t catch the CLINTmas you’re definitely doing NYC wrong.

The old Allentown State Hospital is finally gone and good riddance. I never bothered going. It just seemed way too hyped.

Shorty’s Short Shorts
You’ve heard of bridge tours in Australia, but have you heard about this one in Auckland?

File under ‘that’s dope’: this new Brooklyn fire house that was purpose built to double as a space for training.

YO GRANDPA CAN’T DRIVE THROUGH THEM GOLF CART TUNNELS! hey, uh – excuse me. Sir? Can you make this story a little more Florida?

Guam is still at war with ‘bando property owners and you DO know Guam is US Territory yes? Of course you do. Now buy us plane tickets there pronto I’ll go with whoever no questions asked.

NOLA is trying to find a buyer for their abandoned Six Flags and good luck with that shit…

MILW’s former Tunnel 16.5 is about to become a more accessible trail and not a week goes by when I don’t think about how thousands of miles of profitable mainline railway were just up and abandoned back in the day. If you’re not doing the same you’re doing life wrong.

Bando BBQ
Some asshole in Texas set an abandoned school on fire for the second time this past week, this time basically destroying it.

Speaking of slightly backwards states this big ole’ bando hotel in Florida caught fire last week. It was slated for demolition awhile back. Looks like a real shit hole. Still, I’m kinda miffed I never got around to it, despite having been in that area a few times in recent years.

Another month another abandoned building fire in Fresno. There were also fires in Toronto, San Diego, and Seattle (where a dope old theater burned down).

One more reason bando fires suck: sometimes firefighters get injured putting this shit out.

I love how normies keep advocating boarding up ‘bandos to prevent squatter fires when the real problem is giving people a place to live.

International Update
Sure you’ve heard about Fatbergs in the UK but what about TurkeyBergs?! There are a lot of truly stupid things one can do this time of year with a Turkey…

CP Rail now fully owns its tunnel from Detroit to Canada. Also that’s got to be a bitch to try and explore…

Cities in South Korea are not all that different than here in the states: ‘bandos are being wiped out, and histories forgotten. That is, unless someone documents all they can…

Speaking of South Korea: Sonic booms from High Speed Trains? That’s so fucking hot. Too bad the states will never have that problem…

Damnnnnn: You can now do some bridge climbing in Perth, Australia, for a fee. But hey it’s legal… and I bet you can do it after hours for free if you’re so inclined. ๐Ÿ˜›

Artists working to preserve ‘bandos in Gaza because this is the energy we need all damn day.

2020 IS DEAD
Thank fucking god eh? Y’all ready for some new me bullfuckingshit? Cuz You KNOW that shit is coming.

Quar made pants useless and zoom made everyone into a voyeur. 2020 in a NUTshell.

I didn’t hate 2020. I missed not seeing all the people, I missed not being able to take epic roadtrips crashing in random airbnb’s and laughing our asses off as Abi peeled out from the border patrol station. I miss the long hikes down rusty midwest rail lines with Timmy and Chris FYB on our way to train scrap yards that no one ever heard of and I sure hope it stays that way. I miss bando train and building parties and staying up all night getting to know strangers. I miss getting to the euro airport on no sleep and hoping the cops ain’t waiting there to catch up with me from escaping their dumb asses just a few hours ago. 2019 was my best life in many ways.

2020 was just muted. Many great memories, like doing subway tunnels during the day, picking through the maintenance shops like it’s legal, doing the Willy B bridge on a whim, shooting dead streets, riots and bandos with Logan, a bunch of short road trips and some crazy life altering shit I won’t even get into. Fun times mixed with hard realities. Billy OQB passing away was a punch to the gut.

I will say I do like that 2020 was the year that all kinds of people I didn’t expect got bold about their sex worker lives. No need to be in the closet about that shit. Sex work is work. Capitalism is garbage and as we saw this last week, literally no one in charge gives one fuck about any of us. $600 dollars for 9 months? What a fucking joke. $2000? Still a fucking joke. $2K is like the bare minimum you need to live in NYC for one month, unless you one of them dudes living in a plywood shack next to the trash yard in Bushwick.

2021 is looking like more of the same. I suspect I’ll be getting out even less for awhile, but I’ve also got a billion things I need to do so maybe I’ll finally get focused crank out more books and do something serious for once.
