‘Bando News and Messy Views
There’s a lot of fun news to catch up on, so let’s go:

NYC’s favorite trespassing lion lady, Myah Autry is BACK, and sneaking into enclosures and throwing cash at the lions at the Bronx Zoo. This woman is a goddess amongst mere mortals.

The state of New Jersey is going to pony up $65 million dollars to the railroad pony (Norfolk Southern) to purchase the abandoned lower boonton line. Their plans is to finally turn it into a long linear park/bike path. It’s a noble cause, but 9 miles of ROW for $65M? Seems like NS would have a hard time fetching half that amount on the open market.

“Chinook Salmon are Attempting to Spawn in a Graffiti-Filled Channel in the Bay Area” is the 2021 energy we need.

What will become of Bulgaria’s awesome narrow gauge railway? The future is uncertain.

The Baja railroad called it quits and gave up it’s lease to the ‘impossible railroad‘ in southern California. The tracks are littered with abandoned trains, making it quite the fun place to explore. With Baja throwing in the towel, it seems likely that the tracks will continue to rust away for quite awhile to come.

“The once-grand Pawtucket-Central Falls station stands covered in graffiti, filled with trash and frequented by trespassers. Over the years, a series of private owners neglected to secure the property, leaving it open to squatters and vandals. Now, a Providence lawyer is seeking proposals from developers to redevelop the historic train station that spans the two cities.”
I can’t believe that station still exists. Fucken wild.

An abandoned 18 floor high office building in EVANSVILLE, IL was imploded, damaging a restaurant next door. IDK maybe it would have been better to convert it to housing but I’m wrong because, Capitalism.

I am SHOCKED that a completely decomposed corpse was found in a St. Louis bando.

Never mind the aliens, Roswell, NM is full of small ‘bandos.

Chicago Freight Tunnel primer coming in hot… well, not really but if you didn’t know about them now you know.

Some very dumb looters in Australia were caught filling up their truck with stuff from a set of abandoned storefronts. The video is worth watching, especially for the dude with the mullet.

Bando BBQ
After a lull in burning bando news, everything is on fire everywhere.

Meth addicts are accused of torching a ‘bando house in Indianapolis last week, in a neighborhood where firefighters have been injured battling several such incidents in recent years. Probably the same sorta thing happened at this building in Cincinnati, and this one in LA, oh and this one in Amarillo

If you love a good fire response video this one outta Bakersfield ain’t half bad. Someone definitely torched that joint.

New Tunnel Smell
UAE is building new rail tunnels and hell yeah I’d explore that shit.

Work on Amtrak’s Gateway tunnel project is slated to begin in 2023. Have your exploring boots and Skanska vests ready LOL!

That Wrap Tho…
Yo what is up with subway hatches just left open all over NYC these days? Don’t hesitate, LFG…

NOTE: It sometimes takes a short while for comments to be approved - unfortunately there's a lot of spam comments that come in. I absolutely love when y'all share personal stories of friends relatives etc who worked in these places. It really helps capture what these places were like before they closed up shop.

If you're feeling salty, argumentative comments completely devoid of facts (supply links to support your argument) will not be published. Got a case to state? come with the details.
